Instructions for presentations
Delegates are invited to submit abstracts on the following topics:
- Emerging threats and risks
- Detection, identification and monitoring of CB agents
- CBRN Crisis Management at national and international levels
- Medical management CBRN
- Physical protection
- Non-proliferation and demilitarisation issues
- Commercial developing technologies
Abstracts should be submitted before January 15, 2010. The title of the abstract should be submitted through the on-line registration at www.cbwsymp.foi.se and the abstract should be mailed separately, as an attached file, to cbwsymp@foi.se.
Please not that abstracts will only be accepted from those who have registered through the on-line registration. Indicate if you wish to make an oral or a poster presentation.
The abstract should be maximum 300 words (one page, size A4). No colour photographs will be accepted. The abstract should be submitted as a pdf-file.
The abstract should be written in Times New Roman, font size 12, single space. Paper size A4 (21 cm by 29,7 cm), margins left and right 2,5 cm, margins top and bottom 4 cm. The title should be in capital letters, centred on the width of the paper. Names of the authors together with addresses should be written under the title, also centred, lower-case letters. Leave two spaces between the addresses and the first line of the text. Underline the name of the author that will be making the presentation.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract book, which will be distributed to all participants at the on-site registration. The accepted abstracts will also be published on the symposium web site during the spring of 2010. Authors of accepted abstracts are asked to send a short CV (not more than 100 words) together with a photo (optional) for inclusion in the Abstract book.
The abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific committee of the symposium, and all authors of accepted abstracts will be notified during February, and also asked to submit their full paper before April 1, 2010. If we do not receive the full paper by that date, the presentation will be withdrawn from the programme.
Accepted posters do not have to send us any full paper.
Accepted full papers will be included in the Proceedings of the symposium.
The Proceedings will be distributed to all delegates at the on-site registration. The Proceedings will be published as an unclassified publication.
The purpose of the Symposium
is to create an interdisciplinary forum for the mutual exchange of information
regarding protection against
chemical and biological warfare agents.
